The Westminster Parliament’s Constitutional Affairs Committee has been taking evidence from the judges on the Supreme Court proposals and also the proposals for a new judicial appointments system in England & Wales. Amongst those who have given evidence are Lord Hope of Craighead (2 December 2003), Lord President Cullen (9 December) and, betraying significant differences of view on the Supreme Court, Lords Bingham and Nicholls (11 December).
