Tommy Sheridan’s solicitor, Aamer Anwar (on whom see Nos 698 and 716), cannot keep out of the news.  In early January he was the complainer in the prosecution of Lorraine Ferrie for a racially aggravated breach of the peace reported by the BBC at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7182158.stm and by the Glasgow Evening Times at  http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/mostpopular.var.1958338.0.anwar_racial_abuse_case_not_credible.php .  The incident complained of followed a car accident in Wallace Street, Glasgow in August 2006.  Mr Anwar’s wife, Ifet, was driving a car involved in a collision with Ms Ferrie’s vehicle.  Mrs Anwar called Mr Anwar after locking herself in the car as she was scared following Ms Ferrie making a V-sign at the car.  After Mr Anwar arrived he spoke to an Asian woman in the street and Ms Ferrie said, What is it with all you Pakistanis sticking together?” to which Mr Anwar was alleged to have replied
