(523)  LAW SOCIETY BENDS ON COMPLAINTS

 

The Law Society of Scotland announced on 28 November 2005 that it would accede to proposals for the establishment of an independent body to deal with complaints against solicitors, after other responses to a Scottish Executive consultation on the matter (see No 459) showed that nearly 85% of respondents thought that such a body was preferable to the existing system operated by the Society.
