(526) FOX-HUNTING CHARGE?
?
Lothian and Borders Police have submitted a report to the procurator-fiscal in connection with an incident near Kelso on 10 October 2005 which, it is alleged, contravened the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Act 2002. The incident involved Trevor Adams, joint master of the Duke of Buccleuch Foxhounds, who was the accused in an earlier case in which he was found not guilty (see No 407). The new allegation is that between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. [on the day in question] the Buccleuch foxhounds were seen by witnesses to pursue a fox across an open field before it was killed.” A similar case began in England on 19 December 2005
