The appeal of Steve Gough, the Naked Rambler, against various of his convictions for contempt of court, was at last decided by a Court of Five Judges in the High Court of Justiciary on 7 November 2007 (available at http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/opinions/2007HCJAC63.html).  The bare elements of the story are briefly summarised thus by Lord Justice-Clerk Gill:
