The House of Lords decision in Office of Fair Trading v Lloyds TSB bank plc, 31 October 2007, [2007] UKHL 48 

(http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/ld200607/ldjudgmt/jd071031/lloyds.pdf), that the connected lender liability under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act applies to protect the consumer who uses the credit agreement to finance transactions made and performed abroad and governed by a foreign law, is of UK-wide significance, but contains one Scottish note provided by Lord Hope at para 10:

 

One such claim is pending in the Sheriff Court at Kirkcaldy: David Boyack v The Royal Bank of Scotland. Your Lordships were told that the claim in that case relates to a clock purchased in Dubai arising out of
