Sheriff Richard Davidson of Dundee has been criticised for totally sexist and unnecessary” comments after giving judgement against Mrs Margaret Christie in her case against the bridal outfitters who created a wedding dress for her marriage in August 2003.  Mrs Christie had been unhappy with the dress produced and wore a dress from another company for the ceremony.  The first outfitters then sought to charge her for their dress and Sheriff Davidson ordered Mrs Christie to pay them £200 and £75 expenses.  Having asked Mrs Christie to don the offending garment
