Former Lord Advocate and chairman of the Inquiry into the building of the Holyrood Parliament building Lord Fraser of Carmyllie will not be prosecuted after being arrested and charged on 19 December 2006 with an offence under the Air Navigation Order 2005, the Crown Office announced on 2 February 2007. Lord Fraser had been charged with being threatening or abusive to a cabin crew member on a ScotAirways flight from London City airport to Dundee. Confusion over tickets before a delayed departure had led to Lord Fraser being seated in economy class rather than the club class he had paid for. Lord Fraser admitted to having had one large whisky during the wait for departure. He said: Thank God for honourable political opponents who were on the plane and confirmed that nothing happened.” He also apologised to the Lord Advocate: “I doubted whether she had the independence of character not to make an unjustifiable spectacle of me. Forgive me
